Here is what actually happens: the strap is never the limit, comfort is. On a ride, the camera you keep reaching for is the one you forget is there, a mirrorless body with a prime or a compact zoom. Bring the big glass if you want. The strap will not be the thing that complains. Your shoulder decides how far you take it.
Plenty of riders coast to a stop, shoot with both hands, and clip back in seconds. Others are comfortable shooting on the move. Know your handling, know the road, and ride within your skills and your local laws. We built the strap for fast access. How you use that access is up to you.
Hold the camera facing you. The strap lugs sit at the top left and top right corners, where a normal neck strap would attach.

✕- Put a split ring through the lug on each side of your camera.
- Attach the rope ends to the split rings.
- Clip the alloy hook onto one of those split rings, on whichever side you prefer. That's the third point.
